    Pre-Launch Tasks

    When  system access is provided, it is time to review the system, address outstanding items, and set a final launch date. The following checklist is broken down by role, but this may not match the breakdown of your specific board. Review the follow tasks, complete any that are pertinent to your organization and leadership role, and reach out to your project manager with any questions.

    All System Admins

     Complete training.

    • Live board trainings are held on a regular basis.
    • The video library is available to provide specific guidance on common tools and tasks.
    • The Knowledgebase is a searchable resource containing articles, videos, and workflows.

    StarChapter Project Lead

     Review all pages within the new StarChapter website.

    • Click through all linked pages and review for accuracy and completeness. Keep in mind any notes from your project manager about remaining content. Some project time is always saved for the review period, so not all content is targeted within the first round of migration.
    • At this time, any admin in the system can make edits or additions. Review live trainings, video tutorials, and/or Knowledgebase articles for specific guidance to update different areas of the system.

     Send your project manager approval to continue with more page migration OR a list of revisions to apply to the existing content.

    • Any additional content migration and/or revisions are subject to the time remaining in your project.

     Add any additional admins.

    • Review this article for guidance. 

     Send signed Implementation Sign-Off Form to project manager.

    • Download this form here.

    Program Chair

     Review Meeting Setup.

    • Confirm that the dates, locations, and ticket options are correct.
    • If any meetings shouldn't be open for registration, confirm that registration is disabled. No registration button will appear on the meeting page of these meetings.

    Membership Chair

     Review Membership Data and Configuration.

    • Confirm the member count.
    • Spot-check a few member profiles.
    • If membership is managed locally, review all dues, application, and expiry settings as described in the Local Membership Workflow. 

    Treasurer

     Update PCI compliance policies.

    • Review this video regarding Posting PCI Compliance Information.
    • When all policies are updated, send links to all policies to your payment gateway, if required. 

     Connect Payment Gateway (optional).

    • Review this video for guidance. 

    StarChapter's team will work to move as much content and data as possible into the new system  within the scope of your project. If there is any concern that all content wasn't brought into the new system, you will want to speak with your current webhost regarding archiving the old website. StarChaper does not copy or back-up your old website, so archiving will be the responsibility of your organization.
