Website content requires frequent upkeep to ensure that all information is accurate and timely. Many tools in StarChapter handle these updates automatically archiving content on pre-set dates or moving meetings to the archive page when the event date passes; however, static content must be updated manually. Additionally, there are times when pages need to be removed entirely because a special event or program has ended.
Update Existing Pages
All content within StarChapter can be updated through the Admin Area of the system, as described in the Edit a Page video. If the text "Dynamic Content" is in the text editor, rather than the content you might expect, that means that the content is being pulled from another area of the system. The edit should be made at the source. Instead, look at the name of the content section and match that with one of the tools in navigation menu of your Admin Area. Most dynamic pages will be pulling from the Meetings or Content areas of the system, but there are some exceptions. If you are unable to locate a content source, please reach out to our Support Team for guidance.
Remove Outdated Pages
If a page is outdated and needs to be removed from the website, you'll want to remove it from any navigation menus and unpublish the page. Unpublishing a page ensures that no one will come across outdated content through the search feature but also allows you to maintain that content for future reference or use.
