What Is The StarChapter Ultimate Plan Setup Process?
Welcome to StarChapter! StarChapter’s Ultimate Plan includes fourteen (14) hours of project time that involve:
-
project management
-
a kick off meeting
-
system configuration
-
data and content conversion
-
training
-
three (3) graphic design revisions
-
and eight (8) stock photos of your choice
Over the next ten (10) weeks, you will be working with your Project Manager to setup your StarChapter service. StarChapter has a wide variety of tools to effectively and efficiently manage your association. So, let’s get started!
Kicking Off Your Project
After purchasing your StarChapter plan, your primary contact at StarChapter will transition from your Account Executive to your Project Manager. Within two (2) business days of sign up, your assigned Project Manager will reach out to you to schedule a Kick-Off Meeting.

Tip: This meeting must occur before work on your project can begin. |
Before that meeting, you will complete and return a Pre-Kick Off Worksheet. The Worksheet provides your Project Manager with some information about your chapter’s needs and will serve as the agenda for that initial meeting.
Since the purpose of the Kick-Off Meeting is to gather information about your organization and set project priorities, 1-2 key decision makers should attend. Your Project Manager will follow up with a full list of materials that are needed to set-up your project.
Design Process
Weeks 2-5
The design process happens concurrently with your content and data migration. As soon as we receive your logo, color scheme, and layout choice, StarChapter’s Design Team will create a design mock-up and a gallery of images for your home page slider. We can refine the design with your feedback and implement it with your approval during this stage of the project.
You have three (3) design revisions available and can select eight (8) slider images.

Tip: A design must be in place before your Project Manager can provide you with access to the system. |
Initial Content And Data Migration
Weeks 2-5
Content and data migration happen concurrently with the design process. Your pages are migrated based on the priorities discussed during your Kick-Off Meeting.
Training
Weeks 2-10
Training occurs throughout the setup process and may continue after your launch, as needed. Training attendance is the responsibility of your team. StarChapter provides foundation training in the form of live, weekly board trainings. Please find the upcoming schedule and call-in details here. Recorded versions of all live training, as well as additional videos and written training materials, can be found in the Knowledgebase.
Review
Weeks 5-9
When the initial content and data migration is complete, the design is in place, and the StarChapter team has completed Quality Assurance reviews of your setup, your Project Manager will provide system access. At this stage, you review the work that has been completed and coordinate with your Project Manager to complete any remaining tasks. Project time is saved for this stage of the process.

Tip: We encourage your admin users to make updates and edits in the system at this time. StarChapter is a self-managed system, so it is best to become familiar with the system before you are live. |
Dedicated Board Trainings
Week 9 or 10
Project time can be allocated for dedicated trainings for your board, if there are additional questions or training needs beyond those included in the live and recorded trainings. This training time is scheduled with your Project Manager approaching the end of your set-up. This training builds upon the live board trainings and is not a substitute for that training.

Tip: The dedicated board trainings must be used prior to your system launch. |
Launch
Week 9 or 10
After the Review process and training are complete, your new StarChapter service is launched. When you transition out of the setup process, your Project Manager is no longer your primary contact at StarChapter. Instead, you will reach out to the StarChapter Support Team for assistance.
