Dues Settings
Membership > Settings > Dues control the display and availability of dues rates throughout your StarChapter system.
Dues and group assignments:
Admin will be able to choose between two settings for Dues and Group Assignments.
"Restrict dues to members in eligible subgroups" - When a dues rate is set to apply to a specific member subgroup, the member must be part of that subgroup to purchase the rate.
"Assign members to subgroups based on dues purchase" - Dues rates set to apply to specific member subgroups are offered regardless of a member's current subgroup assignment. A member who purchases such a rate will be automatically assigned to the related subgroup.

Warning: You must add a "Select a Group" question to your Member Application if your Member Dues Settings are set to "Restrict dues to members in eligible subgroups". If you do not add a "Select a Group" question, new members will not be able to view and select a dues level to purchase when signing up. Send reminders "7" days before automatic membership renewals.
This setting allows admin to adjust the number of days that the system will send an automatic membership renewal before the members credit card is process. 7 days is the minimum number of days that can be selected for this notice to be sent.
Update paid-through date:
This setting indicates whether the expiration date of a renewing member should be updated when they open a dues order or when they pay. Selecting "When dues order is paid" is strongly recommended to avoid the chance of someone receiving membership for free.
Prompt expired members to renew when registering for meetings?
If checked, this setting will allow dues rates to display during meeting registration for expired members who still have access to member ticket pricing. This access depends upon the Expiry Settings in Membership > Settings > Members. This is only advisable if there is a single dues rate for all members as it can be very complicated if there are multiple rates and Member Types available.
