StarChapter supports a wide range of browsers, based on popularity, customer usage, and commercially acceptable best practices for browser security. StarChapter supports the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop/laptop computers, in addition to, Chrome and Safari on mobile devices.
Microsoft no longer recommends using Internet Explorer (IE) for web browsing or with modern web applications. In Microsoft's Windows IT Pro Blog, this recommendation is explained. "Internet Explorer is a compatibility solution [for older web applications that have not been updated for modern browsers.] We’re not supporting new web standards for it and, while many sites work fine, developers by and large just aren’t testing for Internet Explorer these days. They’re testing on modern browsers." Based on Microsoft's recommendations, StarChapter is no longer optimized for IE, but does support Microsoft Edge.
Plug-ins, Extensions and Scripting
Occasionally, browser extensions and plug-ins may interfere with scripts on pages. If you are experiencing issues with your browser, first try to disable your extensions, add-ons, and plug-ins to see if one of these is the cause. Learn here how to manage your browser settings. JavaScript must be enabled in your browser and script blockers turned off. StarChapter’s interface uses JavaScript in many areas.
