Coupons and vouchers can both be used during event registration; however, they each serve a different purpose for different users.
Coupons
Coupons can be used by both members and non-members. They allow a meeting registrant to receive a dollar amount off their ticket. Coupons have an alphanumeric code, which is set by the admin user when the coupon is created. The code can then be used by the member or non-member during the registration check-out process in eligible meetings. Coupon codes can be dispersed through mass emails, newsletters, on the website, etc. The codes will not be published anywhere automatically, so it’s up to the chapter leaders to make them available, as appropriate.
Vouchers can ony be used by members. They allow a member to apply a credit to a meeting registration, making the ticket free. Vouchers are assigned to a specific member when created. The member will be prompted to use them when registering for eligible meetings. Vouchers will be linked to a member profile. The member will be prompted to use the vouchers for eligible meetings. We recommend sending an email to members if vouchers have been created because they won’t know about them otherwise.
