    StarChapter Pay

    Thanks for checking out StarChapter Pay! StarChapter Pay is a service that provides you with the tools you need to accept credit card payments using StarChapter. It's something that we created to help with some common challenges that we have heard from our chapters’ board members.

    StarChapter Pay is connected directly within your StarChapter system. You can access your virtual terminal directly through StarChapter, instead of logging in at another location with another vendor--with login credentials that might not make it to the incoming treasurer when this year's board term is over. With StarChapter Pay, you don't have to worry about that.

    You'll also have a much easier time with reconciliation. The reports that you need to reconcile your orders/invoices, payments, and deposits are built right into the StarChapter admin area. You can see what's been deposited and for what orders, and what fees have been paid.

    And we've made the pricing for StarChapter Pay as simple as we possibly can. We have three different pricing options available. Option 1 makes the most sense for most of our customers, but if you have a larger sales volume, Option 2 or 3 may make more sense for you. The line of fine print says that there's a twenty-five dollar fee for chargebacks. That fee would apply if a purchaser disputes the charge with their credit card company and wins the dispute. And those, right there, are all the fees we have.

    The main motivation for StarChapter to develop StarChapter Pay was to provide additional options that we can't provide with other gateways. So if you're using StarChapter Pay, you'll soon be able to take advantage of integrated refunds within Order Manager, and we're also planning to add the ability for members to use saved credit card details during checkout making that process much more convenient.

    If you'd like to sign up, just click on the button under the main menu in your StarChapter Admin Area. Since StarChapter Pay does incorporate a bank account, you'll need to have your organization's tax ID number and the responsible party's personal information ready, just like when signing up for any other bank account.

    After you submit your application, you'll hear from our underwriters if they need more information to set up your account. Normally, you'll be up and running in one or two business days.
