    Meetings Messages and Forms

While many pages within StarChapter are based on templates to support your dynamic content, you can still customize content using configuration settings that will update included variables. The messaging on this page allows you to add text or change labels to various areas throughout StarChapter.

    Registration Form

This area allows you to re-label, require, or hide fields from the meeting registration form. Name and email address will always be collected and cannot be changed but the fields displayed here can be optimized for your organization.

    Messages

Many templates throughout StarChapter cannot be accessed directly. This is often because those templates are pulling information from various places in the system and can be easily broken. To allow for chapter-specific messaging while maintaining the templates, these fields allow you to update text throughout various pages and email templates.

Message to appear at bottom of order receipts

This text will display at the bottom of all receipts, whether paid or unpaid. Often, this is left blank, but a "thank you" would be appropriate.

Message to appear at bottom of order receipts for unpaid orders

This text will only appear at the bottom of receipts for unpaid orders and is often instructions to submit payment, such as the remittance address. Note that unpaid orders will include both this text and the text for all receipts, so they should not duplicate information.

Message displayed when registration for an event is closed

When the Registration Cutoff date and time is reached, the "Register Now" buttons will be removed from the event page on your website; however, there will still be that link in any Meetings Emails that were previously sent. This text will be displayed when someone uses a registration link for a closed meeting.

Message to replace 'Members Log In' text on first page of registration process

This doesn't actually control anything on the registration screens. Instead, it changes the label in the login box on /members.php. If you don't use the term "members," you may want to update this field to reflect your preferred terminology. This text is also control in General > Configuration > REG_MEM_LOGIN_TEXT.

Thank you message displayed for catalog orders

This text will be an on-screen display after catalog orders are completed. Catalog orders will be only those processed through the /catalog.php page.

    Message displayed for order cancellation

This text will display on-screen when a registration order is canceled prior to completion.

Thank you message displayed for signing up for the waiting list

This text will display on-screen when a potential registrants joins the waitlist for a meeting that is currently at capacity.

    Fixed Transaction Cost default description

This default text can be updated to affect all Transaction Description fields in all meetings. If your organization regularly charges a fixed fee for transactions, you can set that label here rather than needing to update each meeting. If a specific meeting require different terminology, that label can be replaced for that specific meeting in the Registration Details of that meeting.

    Credit Card Bypass Message

This setting is duplicated from Meetings > Settings > Payments. Changing the text in either location will update the messaging on the payment page.

    Venue Website Text Override

This text will display on the meeting details page if the "Website" field was completed. The text will be linked to the venue website so that the page is clean and without a long and potentially cumbersome venue url.
